About the seminar

Prediction and prevention of mental ill health is a major focus of psychiatric research. Cross-sectional research examining alterations in illness versus absence of illness only captures a small proportion of the story. Thus, longitudinal investigation of mental health trajectories is crucial to explore predictors of mental ill health present in childhood prior to the onset of full illness. This symposium will bring together talks from experts in the field discussing topics ranging from registry studies to neuroscience to identify new opportunities to address unmet needs, promote life-long well-being and social inclusion, and ultimately pathways to the prevention of mental illness.
